Lithuania, Norway agree to swap coronavirus vaccines – minister – The Baltic Times

VILNIUS – Lithuania has signed a deal with Norway to exchange Pfizer coronavirus vaccine doses for Janssen shots, Health Minister Arunas Dulkys said on Wednesday.

“We have signed an agreement to make mutual exchanges by the end of the year,” the minister said. “We’ll be lending each other the most popular vaccines.”

“Next week, we are going to Norway to pick up 100,000 Janssen vaccine doses, and Norwegians will come to pick up Comirnaty vaccines,” he added.

The single-dose Janssen vaccine is popular with Lithuanians, but the producer’s delivery schedules “are not very convenient for us today”. However, Lithuania has a large supply of unused shots of the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine, sold under the brand name Comirnaty, which is very popular in Norway, according to Dulkys.
